The Applied Arts Photography & Illustration Annual is published

Now published, the May/June issue of Applied Arts Magazine features the 2012 winners of our Photography & Illustration Awards. You’ll discover more than 100 pages of some of the most inspiring images created last year, from artists hailing from across Canada, the United States and abroad. You can also see the Photography and Illustration winners online. Beautifully printed with eye-poppoing colours on Cougar Smooth 80 lb. text and 100 lb. cover stock, the Awards Annual will be a prized reference for years to come.

This issue also includes Split Run—a new 2012 portfolio feature looking at an original image maker. Half the subject’s work is featured in the magazine (stills) and half on appliedartsmag.com (motion). Our portfolio this issue is Montreal street art duo Frank Lem and Zema.  Other issue highlights include Chris Daniels’ feature “The Future is Now,” looking at exciting creative work produced with new technologies; Will Novosedlik’s essay, “Clash of the Titans,” examining where the batte lines are drawn in the conflict of art vs. technology; and a retrospective of the elegant poster designs of Theo Dimson.

Single copies of the issue are available for purchase. Please contact Anna Brown at assistant@appliedartsmag.com for more details.
