Calgary studio Sasges Inc. of Calgary was one of the four Best of Show Winners (each receiving a $5,000 reward) in the recent Mohawk Show graphic design competition, awarded for its The Goat Book (printed of course on Mohawk paper). As the Sasges blog explains: “[Our] goat book is exactly what it sounds like – an entire book dedicated to those quirky, mischievous and fascinating creatures. Filled with photography, illustrations, recipes and goat miscellany; the book is a collaboration and labour of love … the love of goats.

“Who knew goats were such crazy animals. The book was 18 months in ‘concept’ and one month in production. Since its release it’s won recognition from Communication Arts, Mohawk 12 Show, Coupe Magazine, and the Neenah UnShow. To purchase a copy of our goat book visit our online shop.

“The goat book was printed by our friends at Blanchette Press on a multitude of paper stocks using a variety of printing techniques including: French-folds, fluorescent inks, surprints, varnish, matte foil, soft-touch coating and of course lots of special Blanchette ‘turbo black.’ We think it’s a printed masterpiece.”
