Australia sings its support with Down Under

I know, it’s as bad form to celebrate Olympics commercials after the Games are the done as is to wear whites after Labour Day. Still, I wanted to include this Telstra Olympics Down Under ad, created by DDB Australia, as one of the best uses of a song (part of the HeroMessage campaign). Men at Work lead singer Colin Hay has reworked the band’s 1980s hit “Down Under,” and leads fans in Australia and expatriates and schoolchildren in London singing a rendition cobbled together from the various parts, showing support for Australian athletes in the Olympics and Paralympics. The fun everyone has with the song is infectious.
