Charlebois-Zariffa creates 75th anniversary Air Canada videos

From Montreal multidisciplinary designer and director Karim Charlebois-Zariffa:

I was commissioned by SpaFax and Air Canada to do two small promotional videos to showcase in their airplanes. This year is their 75th birthday, so I was asked to showcase air hostess costumes from over the years and also to do another spot to showcase the airplanes. That was the only brief I got, so I produced and directed these videos. With the in-camera effects and a lot of object building, I came up with this installation. Definitely the funnest part was the big modular numbers and the frame reveal system for the model. For the air hostess, the model was shot separately from the rest, then all the numbers where put in the same shot, activated by ropes and pulleys. The airplane spot was all shot by year and then matched together.
