July/August 2013: Design Awards
This issue will feature a guest art director—a design studio that leave a unique visual stamp on the issue, and produce specially curated content. The issue will also include the winners from our highly popular Design Awards, showing the work that will set the standard for the year ahead. Other highlights include an essay on the state of the design industry, portfolios of our photography and illustration Young Blood winners, the Split Run portfolio of an image maker who works both in print and motion), assorted columnists and the portfolio of a dynamic Canadian interactive studio.
September/October 2013: Advertising & Interactive Awards
Our Advertising & Interactive Awards will be give special treatment by a guest art director—an award-winning agency that will also curate a special content section. This huge issue will include all the winners from our Advertising Awards, and from our fastest growing contest, the Interactive Awards. Other issue highlights include portfolios of the Young Blood winners from our Design Awards, sharp, controversial commentary from our columnists, and a Career Shift profile of a visual communications professional who switches gears and gets a new career, relying on their creative savvy to succeed.
November/December 2013: Student Awards
These awards feature the up-and-comers, the graduating students from art colleges and universities across the country and abroad. Their work covers advertising, broadcast, design, photography, illustration and interactive, and provides a clear snapshot of the talents about to break into the market. The issue also includes a feature that grades how well our country’s universities and colleges are doing in preparing students for the visual communications professions, with interviews with both educators and employers. Other issue highlights include portfolios of our Advertising and Interactive Awards Young Blood winners, a Split Run portfolio and the profile of an ad agency doing groundbreaking work. |
