WEBSITES/MICROSITES

W-01 Business-to-business:
Websites created for business or trade audiences. Can include any type or size of business.

W-02 Consumer Products:
Any site created to promote consumer products, such as electronics, fashion, apparel, household items, automotive, appliances, etc.

W-03 Consumer Packaged Goods:
Any site created to promote consumable goods, such as food and beverages, cleaning products, cosmetics, etc.

W-04 Entertainment, arts & tourism:
Any site created to promote entertainment, arts, cultural events and festivals, heritage sites, hotels, resort destinations, etc.

W-05 Media:
Sites that are online editions or companions to printed trade/consumer magazines or newspapers, or media sites that are published only online (e.g., e-zines/newsletters).

W-06 Financial Services:
Any site designed to promote banking, investment, financial planning, insurance services, etc.

W-07 Other Services:
A site designed to promote services not listed in other categories, including telecommunications, government, utilities, etc.

W-08 E-commerce:
Any site engaging customers in direct sales.

W-09 Gaming:
All forms of videogames and sites designed specifically for play over some form of computer network.

W-10 Educational/Reference:
Any site whose primary purpose is the presentation of information for learning or reference.

W-11 Public Service/Charity (Non-Profit):
Any site whose primary purpose is to raise public awareness of a cause or charity.

W-12 Self-Promotion:
Any site promoting creative services, either for an individual or firm.

 

ONLINE ADVERTISING

W-13 Advergaming:
Any online ad that uses videogames to advertise a product, service or brand.

W-14 E-mail:
Commercial messages or advertisements sent by e-mail. Entrants may submit more than one sample of work.

W-15 Online Single:
An online advertisement of any size and format that is placed in a designated advertising space.

W-16 Self-Promotion:
Interactive advertising promoting the creative services of an individual, firm or agency.

W-17 Online Campaign:
An ad campaign that includes only online elements. A minimum of two online elements are required and can include a Website, ads, microsite and e-mail.

W-18 Integrated Campaign:
Includes both online and offline elements. The dominant portion of the campaign must be the online elements. A minimum of one offline media platform is required (e.g., print, out of home, broadcast, etc.).

OTHER

W-19 Experimental/Artistic:
Anything that explores new territory, ideas or technology.

W-20 Offline Digital:
Content that is not Internet related, such as digital signage, kiosks and interactive TV.

W-21 Online Video:
Video shot specifically for distribution online, including video uploaded by marketers or agencies to social networking sites.

W-22 Weblog/Social Networking:
Any site devoted to periodic, dated entries, including diaries/journals, newswires, blogs, online comic strips, etc.

W-23 Wireless:
Content developed for mobile devices such as smartphones and PDAs.
