For more than two decades, Toronto illustrator Sandra Dionisi has created beautiful editorial illustrations that have garnered her international recognition
Since 2001, Sandra Dionisi has been a multiple winner in the illustration categories of the Applied Arts Awards Programs.
For more than 20 years, the Toronto illustrator's work has appeared in a variety of publications in the U.S, Canada and Europe. She has also provided images for many international clients in graphic design, book publishing and corporate communications. Her work has received recognition from industry associations as diverse as American Illustration, Communication Arts, The Society of Illustrators, the Society of Publication Designers and the National Magazine Awards.
Dionisi received her first gold award from the Art Directors Club of Toronto for a portrait of Jazz Pianist Oscar Peterson, while still a student in art college. Her illustration work for the PEN Canada Annual Report received both “Best Illustrated” and “Illustration: Top 9″ recognition from the AR100 2005. She has been asked to be an illustration judge on behalf of the National Magazine Awards and CMYK Magazine’s “Best Student Work.
In 2007, Sandra created the Bepo + Mimi Project, a strategic initiative designed to shift industry and public awareness of the inherent value of original artwork.
