Borderline Personality Disorder inspired this series. The models’ faces were covered with plastic wrap and photographed struggling to breathe and free themselves. They represented BPD patients; the plastic symbolized their thoughts. BPD sufferer’s greatest enemy is their relentless thoughts that suffocate their lives. The plastic was used to convey feelings of hopelessness and terror that they bring upon themselves. Slideshow presented, covered with acetate sheets and handwritten text. Copy pulled from mental-disorder patients’ journals.
