Child rape is a widespread epidemic in Kenya. In 2013, 160 Girls won a landmark victory against the police, who have now been ordered to properly investigaterape crimes or face imprisonment. To raise awareness, we erected a singlebillboard that read: "Justice is nowhere for child rape victims" in full view ofmarathon runners. At the start of the event, the Senator painted a slash through"nowhere," transforming the message into one of hope.
