Sketch what it means to be Canadian. This is what artist Aquil Virani asked to 800+ participants from all 13 provinces and territories. After travelling coast-to-coast with project co-founder Rebecca Jones, Virani spent over 200 hours re-drawing and integrating submissions onto 18 wood panels, each 10 by 10 inches. The result was an intricately detailed representation of Canadian identity that was unveiled with a short documentary about the project. Watch it at aquil.ca/canada.
