Skittles’s “Pyramid Scheme the Rainbow” parodied a typical online pyramid scheme. Consumers could create their very own pyramid scheme and invite their friends and family to prop up their own pyramid. Every time the informational video was shared/viewed by one of the people registered in their pyramid scheme, they’d receive virtual Skittles in their account at getskittlesrich.com. The person with the most virtual Skittles at the end received 1,000,000 real Skittles delivered to their home.
