This thesis explores the intersection of communication and technology; tangibility and artificiality; reality and hyperreality. Probing the evolution of technology and language—the past, present, and future is dissected. In the future, ancient phonetic, aural, and glyph-based communication will be superseded by more efficient and powerful forms of hyperreal communication—consequently processes of graphic design and visual communication as they currently exist will be rendered largely obsolete.
