According to Chinese legend, the dragon has nine sons and they are different from each other in appearance, character and duties. The red dragon (Fire) was the patron saint of weapons. The green one (Water) was the mount of the patron saint of rain. The Yellow one (Gold) was a coward and would shout loudly. His image was carved on a large bell.
