2024 Student Awards Winners

Various winners from the 2024 Applied Arts Student Awards competition"

"Impressed. The level of talent from the college level down through to high school was inspiring."

2024 Student Awards judge Kevin Sato, Creative Director, Zulu Alpha Kilo, Toronto, ON on reviewing this year's entries. Amazing work by everyone who submitted their award-worthy projects to this year's Student Awards competition. A huge round of applause to the winners of the 153 winning entries that were select by the 16 jurors.

The Student Awards competition is an international competition open to individual or group-class and personal projects created any time during the school year at a domestic or international college, university, and high school students studying creative arts—advertising, design, digital, motion and gaming, illustration and photography.

The criteria for judging the Student Awards entries are the same criteria as the professional categories: Creative merit, technical excellence and suitability for end use in the category it is submitted to. Many judges add additional criteria when it comes to scoring the entries. Joel Harding, Group Creative Director, Critical Mass, Calgary, AB added to the criteria:

 1. Do I get it? 2. Does it move me? and 3. Could it have been a real project in the real world?
