2025 Photo & Illustrations Awards Results are in
Drum roll please....
March 13, 2025
The 2025 Photography & Illustration Awards entries sparked quite a bit of excitement! With comments such as; "Beautiful!", "Fantastic!", "Gorgeous!", "Excellent!" from the Photography & Illustration Awards jurors. A big applause goes to all the artists who entered their work in this year's competition! Maria José Arias, one of the judges, made some glowing remarks about the Young Blood category, which features the work of emerging talent with less than three years of experience in the industry. Her feedback might have highlighted how the fresh perspectives and creative energy brought a unique vibrancy to the competition.
What stood out to you about the Young Blood category, or are you particularly interested in other parts of the competition?
"I was genuinely impressed by the young blood category. The work was beautifully crafted, reflecting personal experiences in a raw and honest manner. It reminded me why it's important to infuse a bit of ourselves into our work. That personal touch adds a spark that goes beyond strategy and everything the business demands."
Maria José Arias, ASSOCIATE CREATIVE DIRECTOR, Hard Work Club, Toronto, ON
It's clear that there's a lot of fresh energy on the scene! The judges, who were divided into groups, took their time scoring each piece based on its creativity, technical execution, and how well it fit its category. The 178 winning entries will be featured this Summer in the Photography, Illustration & Design Awards Annual, and the online winner's gallery in April. Non-subscribers can subscribe to Applied Arts magazine for as little as $4 CAD* per month for two Awards-based issues, or you can pre-order your single copy and have it shipped directly to you. The issue will also be available at select newsstands in August.
