The Summer 2018 Issue is Published!
June 20, 2018
Our much-anticipated 2018 Design annual is currently on its way to mailboxes and select newsstands!
We've beefed up the Design Awards section, giving extra pages to our winners so that we could show their pieces as large as possible. More than 120 pages of winning design work covers everything from editorial to packaging to interactive to craft. The cover image is from Design Award winner Sid Lee and MASSIVart's "Posters for Peace" series.
Also in the Summer issue, writer Will Novosedlik talks to creative professionals in Quebec to find the root of that "je ne sais quoi" we see in so much work from La Belle Province. He finds that a combination of cultural attitudes, government support and sociopolitical history contributes to the unique perspective of artists living and working there, like Cécile Gariepy (work pictured below).
In addition to our rotation of columns from industry thought leaders, we highlight some tips for designers looking to dip into the emerging cannabis branding market.
Thanks to our print partners at Mi5 Print & Digital for their support in producing this issue. Visit our Subscribe page for digital copies, or contact customerservice[at]appliedartsmag.com for more details and single-copy print sales.
