Black Rock City is an interactive story written by Canadian author Jim Munroe, composed using TextureWriter, an authoring tool that helps authors write choose-your-own adventure stories. I was asked to create a wordless cover that would act as the starting screen for the story. Inspired by the earliest plot intersection I designed a playing card, featuring the two main characters which take you in opposite directions through the wild ride that is Black Rock City.
