These photographs are taken from a helicopter, strapped in so that I can lean out to get the straight down shots. Before taking up photography I was a practicing architect and my work is informed by my architect’s eye for geometry in the plan view of the man made landscape. From 1000’ above you can see shapes and patterns not visible from the ground; the view the birds see. I shot these with a new high-res camera allowing me to make very large prints for exhibition, and to enlarge fine detail.
