In Nunatsiavut, home of the Labrador Inuit, traditional connection to the land is being challenged as environmental conditions change rapidly. Hunting, fishing, and gathering, all central to Inuit identity, are becoming more difficult. Despite these challenges, Inuit communities in Nunatsiavut are demonstrating profound resilience. Children are now teaching their parents Inuk. Traditional craftsmanship and hunting techniques are flourishing. Depicted here are a number of the cultural keepers.
