This is a selection of photographs from the book Autoportrait d'un paysan rebelle, which tells the story of Christian Barthomeuf, the inventor of ice cider and one of the pioneers of organic farming in Quebec. The photographs were taken over several seasons during a three-year period in order to capture the subtle details of the different steps involved in cider production and the beauty of the author's life in this exceptional orchard.
