Loosely basing my influences of the fictional location of Atlantis and the iconography of mermaid fiction like The Little Mermaid, I created these two scenes. Atlantis is a series of illustrations depicting an astronaut exploring a foreign alien world. While exploring this alien undersea biome, they discover an abandoned alien temple, within its catacombs containing a mermaid trapped in a pod prison.
