In Afghanistan, women are banned from education. Universities closed their doors to women, forcing learning underground and turning education into a risk. So Google hides education where no one thinks to look. Femini Academy—seemingly acceptable courses for good housewives that secretly teach real academic subjects. By packaging education as an everyday routine, Google gives women a safer way to keep learning.
