Lumi is a light bulb packaging inspired by fireflies with a focus on protection and sustainability. The internal structure is designed to keep the bulb secure preventing any movement which could result in the bulb breaking. Inspired by the tradition of catching fireflies in jars, the interior panel also doubles as a lampshade projecting a design on the surrounding walls. The external design makes use of the firefly’s lower abdomen as a cut out, allowing the product to be visible.
