A mark designed for the Maryland State Bar association, an organization of lawyers. State associations historically draw from a rather narrow range of symbolic, iconic imagery, and throughout the development of this project, the goal was to provide a mark that simultaneously references the past and stays grounded in the present and in functionality. The mark maintains the circular composition that is associated with state seals, and references an iconic image associated with bar associations.
