Fossil Follies is a whimsical paleoart collection featuring a cast of dinosaur archetypes inhabiting a fictional Belle Époque-era world. The series employs the cultural symbolism of extinct behemoths to explore the mental burden of an unspecified impending cataclysm through the mechanisms of humour and hindsight. Drawing on resonant cultural iconography, it codifies familiar social anxieties, wherein prehistoric critters embody the absurdity of societal decorum.
