For the 295 million people in the world who have moderate to severe visual impairment, clothing care instruction labels are inaccessible. Tide Tags are tactile symbols that can be adhered to clothing to assist visually impaired individuals with their laundry. We started by designing three symbols to help sort between whites, colours, and darks, and then expanded the system to include all the existing care symbols we see on our clothes. Tide Tags also come with a braille guide to laundry care symbols.
