To let the public understand the anxiety and randomness of Tourette Syndrome, we actually gave them Tourette Syndrome – on Twitter. People who signed up for Surrender Your Say effectively handed over control of their Twitter feeds to the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada, who then posted random, bizarre tics directly into their Twitter feeds for 24 hours. The result? Thousands took part, and got the chance to feel what living with Tourette is like.
