Originaly I had to do 12 illustrations for a book about sleep and dreams written by 24 different writers (we were 2 illustrators with 12 stories each). I made 12 illustrations and went on to 24, then 36 and so on till 44... by now.For some strange reason Ingres' work imposed itself upon me and became the main inspiration for this series.
