Part of a larger series of images, these photographs were taken at the Sega Girl School in Morogoro, Tanzania on behalf of two non-profit organizations: Nurturing Minds in Africa and Forgirlsake. Both help expand education access to young women in resource-limited countries. Tanzanians, though friendly and warm, generally hide their teeth when smiling. These students, by contrast, opened up for their portraits, offering something genuine that gives the viewer something to smile about.
