How Ink is Made shows how colour is created from the raw ingredients—powder, varnish, and passion. Owner Peter Welfare wanted help promoting his company, and during his astonishing tour of the factory we realized just how we’d do it. His natural enthusiasm matched with the unbelievably vivid colours of the ink itself to create something lyrical and unique. The producer’s father is also an inkmaker, so it was a serendipitous moment to explore something personal.
