I used only sepia tones in order to emphasise the stark contrasts that are revealed when we distinguish between what is actually happening and our assorted personal and collectively constructed realities. The collective version is often referred to as “consensus reality” – the version of the world that we all tend to buy into without thinking. The personal level is everything about ourselves that we deny or actively push out of consciousness.
