A “red zone”, often imposed on people who use drugs, legally bars an individual from being within a specific geographical area for a specific period of time. In the case of a person who is accused of drug related offences, red zones include areas known for drug consumption and trafficking. In these photographs, it shows areas throughout the lower mainland from Surrey to Vancouver. These areas are highly known for drug usage, gangs and drive-bys.
