Homophobia remains a significant issue for youth in team sports. LGBTQ youth don’t have many professionals to look up to—and for young hockey players, there are no “out” role models at all. Rather than creating an awareness campaign, we created a product. Pride Tape is a badge of support from the hockey world to young gay players. From Kickstarter to the Hockey Hall of Fame, Pride Tape has quickly made an important difference.
