This image was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s poem, The Raven. It represents the emotional and psychological aspects of this classic piece of literature. In the poem, the main character tortures himself with the memories of this love, making him a prisoner of his thoughts. This is expressed through Poe’s character adopting the identity of the raven.
