This self portrait is a representation of my experience as a body in East Asia’s urban space. I was part of a generation of children surrounded with a highly urbanized residential area with little proximity to nature. While the weather during the rainy season is often sticky and humid, the rain showers would slow down the city and freshen up the air. Those moments often gifted me with moments of mindfulness.
