Blast Counterblast, edited by Anthony Elms & Steve Reinke, was published to coincide with the centenary of the birth of Marshall McLuhan.The book examines the way intellectuals interactthrough influence, through argumentation, and through criticism. Looking at both Wyndham Lewis's modernistpublication BLAST and McLuhan's 1969 response to it, COUNTERBLAST, the essays in this volume develop and push the ideas presented in both BLAST andCOUNTERBLAST while the book design pays homage to both thinkers experiments in typography.
