CRIT always presents new challenges when designing; mainly that the art submitted with articles all looks similar, or the image quality is poor. So, we often turn to typographic solutions as the budget does not allow for custom illustrations or photography. The clever and smart design solutions are appropriate for the younger audience who are highly educated and creative; not to mention they are responsible for a majority of the content in each issue.
