Draw This Beaver originates from old magazine ads from the 1940s, where people were urged to draw something and send it to get evaluated - to see if they had the potential to become an artist. We thought it was befitting for an awards show piece. We also wanted to inject a national theme to establish it as something Canadian - hence the beaver and the Canadian motifs in the smaller ads.
