The Institute for OneWorld Health (IOWH) is a non-profit pharmaceutical company and the first client for Cahan & Associates' non-profit organization, The Circle Foundation. This brochure was created to help tell their story and show that non-profit pharmaceutical companies can develop safe, effective and affordable new medicines for people with infectious diseases in the developing world, and IOWH did just that with their first approved drug, paromomycin, for the treatment of visceral leishmaniasis (more commonly known as VL or black fever). This piece has helped IOWH reach new levels of donations from major foundations and it opened up a relationship between them and the Indian government, allowing them into the country to help cure not only VL, but make the appropriate steps towards curing Malaria.
