Island is a documentary about a white Catholic priest whose parish is in a predominantly African-American neighborhood plagued with poverty and violence. The poster needed to reflect the priest’s larger-than-life persona as well as convey the film’s message. The photograph and the words below the film’s title accomplish exactly that.
