A typographic optical illusion serves as a metaphor for how society views Schizophrenia. Optical illusions are meant to fool the brain; the images give a certain impression at first sight, but if observed more carefully a different visual representation appears altogether. The same goes for Schizophrenia. Society generally forms their own perceptions about the disorder, but in order to fully understand it they must learn to be openminded and look beyond the stereotypes.
