To celebrate its 25th Anniversary Issue, The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business magazine featured the Top 1000 Biggest Canadian Companies. Our goal was to show readers that Canada’s business landscape is diverse—a lot more than oil and lumber. We illustrated this diversity with 1000 Maple leaves, each representing one of the companies. Each colour represents a type of business. The frequency of each colour communicates the size of that business sector in Canada.
