Douglas Furguson is part of a documentary of the gay community in the US called ‘Urban Fruit.’ There is a profound need for a photo-documentary of the gay male community that de-emphasizes flesh and portrays the complicated, multi-dimensional personalities of its members – a body of work to strengthen the identity of the community.
