Research has shown that people are more likely to donate when they know a child in hospital. And for most people, illness is a lot closer than they think. The idea is to show the effects of childhood illness through the eyes of those who aren’t suffering directly. When a child is sick, siblings, friends, and the community is affected. In turn, most of us are affected in some way by a sick child.
