This typeface was designed as a response to the influence of traditional calligraphic methods in modern typography. Textura 2010 is built using the calligraphic strokes of a flat nib pen on a 45 degree angle. The result is a typeface with a strong modularity that incorporates the dichotomy between old and new, legible and illegible, and type and image.
