There are four proposals from oil industry companies that would exponentially increase oil tanker traffic along along BC’s coastline. When an Instagram user shares BC scenery they often hashtag #beautifulbc. That hashtag is followed and relevant photos are retouched to demonstrate what that very scene could look like after an oil spill. That ‘oil-spilled’ photo is sent back to the poster with the message “don’t let this happen to the place you love”.
