Artscape Daniels Launchpad is Toronto's new entrepreneurship hub empowering creatives to thrive.

With a double mandate of helping creative types thrive artistically and financially and building an inclusive and vibrant artistic community,  Artscape Daniels Launchpad has developed a unique space for established and emerging creatives from all disciplines to grow their creative enterprises and connect with opportunity.

It has always been challenging making a living as an artist in Canada. While artists, designers and creators are twice as likely to have a post-secondary education, their incomes clock in at 20% – 57% below the Canadian average. While the gig economy for creatives can be a blessing, being self-employed and making a living from short-term projects or contract work can be stressful. 

Launchpad wants to change this by offering members access to a diverse community of creative collaborators in a 30,000 sq. ft. space featuring co-working areas, a computer lab, state-of-the-art multidisciplinary and Creative Studios for making creative ideas come to life. By providing equipment, technology and networks, Launchpad offers hands-on access to the ever-evolving digital technology that is disrupting the world of art and design.

Launchpad also provides specialized programming for creatives on business entrepreneurship, as well as hands-on workshops, mentorship opportunities and curated social events. With the abundance of programs to help innovators in science, technology, manufacturing and other fields advance their businesses, it's time that specialized business training was available for artists, designers and the creative community.

Launchpad’s unique membership-based concept is the result of over ten years of research and consultation with artists, designers and creators, as well as educational institutions and trade and service organisations by not-for-profit Artscape.
