SCS teams up with Discovery. Creativity ensues.

Bit of A dream job this one. Agency SCS worked alongside the creative team at Discovery to prepare the user experience design on their soon-to-launch Discovery+ platform, featuring over 1,000 show titles. 

SCS supported the internal Discovery team by developing thousands of creative assets needed to launch from the ground up and featuring Food Network, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet content, plus programming licensed from the BBC, A&E Networks and Group Nine Media.

The teams explored different design approaches before finally settling on a direction for the hero UX screens for shows, genres and networks that would offer a premium content experience and a consistent style across the platform - despite the disparate IP assets available across their programming universe.

SCS developed the sonic branding and audio mnemonic for the Discovery+ brand and variations for Discovery+ Originals content and the Welcome Video for new users of the platform. In addition to this work, SCS took on preparing over 350 product creative titles for the platform, working to bring consistency and narrative to the design of show titles and IP for the new streaming app, with many shows receiving an updated look-and-feel for merchandising within the new Discovery+ experience.
