Find Your Sipsong with Noise 13

Noise 13, a women-led strategy and design firm based in San Francisco, has created a branding and label design for Sipsong Spirits, a new California small-batch liqueur company.
The team behind the new design worked closely with owner and founder of Sipsong Spirits, Tara Jasper, in order to complete the project. “[Tara] is a first-time distillar and wanted something that stood out, but also showcased her personality and the brand’s vision: rooted, inspiring, community-focused and feminine,” says Dava Guthmiller, CCO and co-founder of Noise 13.
The first part of the project was to create a label design for Sipsong’s first product, Indira Gin. The illustrations and colour palette were inspired by the botanical ingredients used in the gin. “We love the bold yet delicate nature of the final design. The color stands out while the line art details and wrap around shape create intrigue,” says Guthmiller. “[Tara] always surrounds herself with a wide circle of collaborators that she holds close and loves to support in return. The lower swoop on the ‘R,' and the wrap around end label nods to this quality.”
Since Indira Gin is the first asset from Sipsong, the team at Noise 13 also created label samples for when the company adds more products to their roster. This allows for a cohesive brand identity. “Part of our exploration included creating a design system as Sipsong expands to more gin varieties and other spirits. We’re excited to see it all come to life!” says Guthmiller.
