Groove is in the Partnership

Fluevog’s have covered the toes of everyone from Gaga to Mr. Jon Snow himself Kit Harrington. The legendary label is the footwear brand for those who like life a bit funkier, and few are funkier than Deee-Lite’s Lady Miss Kier.

It comes as no surprise then that the iconic “Groove is in the Heart” singer is the flashpoint for Fluevog’s collaboration with Dutch fashion designer Bas Kosters.

“When I was thirteen, the mega-hit ‘Groove is the heart’ by Deee-Lite entered the charts. I fell in love immediately. Their cheerful and playful aesthetic was an important reason for me to study fashion. Lady Miss Kier has since remained one of my idols. Collaborating with Fluevog on this collection of shoes was truly a dream come true.”

The Fluevog x Bas Kosters collection includes a version of Fluevog’s trademark Original Munster, the Lady Miss Kier connection comes full circle, as well as a brand new sneaker design, The LoPro Noord, both are crafted from custom printed leather featuring Kosters’ signature Teewee figure.

The collaboration with the equally colourful and outspoken designer made perfect sense for Fluevog. “Doing a project with Bas was an easy decision. His work is colourful and we both have the same philosophy, that sometimes you have to design things that make the world a better place, that you believe need to exist. So much good work has gone into this project, we can’t wait to release it to the world!”
